Report (In short)
1) transit sucks.
2) airport looks so empty.
3) weird korean man with his 'what the fucking'
4) saw han gang river while on the airport bus, thought of running man.
5) no regrets with the apartment. :)
6) dinner at alchon restaurant, 3500 won bibimbap
7) walked around ewha, found daiso at the train station.
The torture of not taking a direct flight is really bad. I had a 4-hour transit at hong kong in the wee early morning and really struggled to keep myself awake. Moreover, the short nap on the plane wasn't good. I didn't have a head pillow with me, so it was really tough to sleep well. Important lesson: get a head pillow!
Any case, when I first arrived at Incheon airport. I thought that it looked a bit like a dead town. Maybe it's sunday. Maybe it's always this way. The only group of people around seemed to be those from my flight. On the good side, I was able to clear the custom quickly.
During then, I encountered a korean man speaking english on his phone. His first phrase was 'what the fucking". Is this a new slang? He repeated a couple more times. I was desperately controlling my laughter. Never knew 'WTF-ing'. lol.
I decided to take the airport bus to my stay as my luggage was too heavy and I want too lazy. :P Getting to my place was not that difficult. And it's pretty decent. So, now I can safely say that I made the right choice with the apartment. :)
After settling down, I left to look for dinner. In the end, I had dinner at Alchon. see http://www.alchon.co.kr/ I visited the ewha branch. To be really honest, I think the food taste good! It's got fish roe on top of the standard content in a bibimbap.
